Green Card

exactly: The International Insurance Certificate (the popular name is related to the color of the document); the document recognized by the governments of the states whose National Offices (it is the Polish Motor Insurers’ Bureau in Poland) are the members of Green Card System, as the evidence of MTPL cover in accordance with the insurance law ruling in their country; The Green Card System presently incorporates 45 national Offices.

Goodwill payment (in Polish “Kulancja”)

A special payment of insurance benefits in a situation where the liability of insurer is not fully confirmed (eg, different legal opinions), but for the customer’s good the insurer decides to pay it. Some also consider marketing payments to be goodwill payment, ie, made in circumstances when it is certain that the insurer bears no responsibility for the incident, but shall pay for social reasons or marketing.
