Polish Insurance Association would like to inform that on 3-4 April 2014, in Radisson BLU Hotel in Szczecin, XVII International Conference on “Insurance Crime” will be held.

On 26 November 2013, at the seat of the Attorney General in Warsaw there was a seminar attended by the representatives of the Attorney General’s Office, Appellate Prosecutor’s Offices and Regional Prosecutor’s Offices, the Polish Insurance Association Commission on Counteracting the Insurance Fraud and the Subcommission of the Polish Insurance Association on Counteracting the Insurance Fraud in Life. The contents of the seminar were prepared by the Polish Insurance Association.

On 3 December 2013, the Polish Insurance Association in collaboration with Deloitte organised a seminar related to tax and legal issues entitled: “Taxes in the insurance business – changes in legislation and current practice”. The seminar was opened by Mr Maciej Łuczyński, Member of the Management Board of the Polish Insurance Association, who briefed on the seminar topic.

On 26 November 2013, the Polish Insurance Association in cooperation with EY organised a seminar entitled “The closing of accounting books according to Polish and international accounting standards and IFRS project Phase 2”.

On 21 November 2013, the seminar entitled: “Good practices on cooperation between the internal audit, compliance, risk management and actuarial function at insurance undertakings” will be held at the Hotel Mercure Warszawa Centrum. It is organised by PIU in cooperation with KPMG.

The Polish Insurance Association, in cooperation with Moody’s, invites you to a seminar entitled ‘Market consistent valuation and Solvency II’, to be held on 14 November.

14th edition of the ‘IT in Insurance GigaCon’ free conference will be held on 22 October. The honorary patronage over the event has been extended by the Polish Insurance Association and the Polish Chamber of Insurance and Finance Intermediaries.

The Polish Insurance Medicine Association invites to a scientific conference entitled “Medical documentation and information – a significant medical, legal and financial problem”, which will be held on 22 October 2013 in Warsaw, in Radisson Blu Sobieski Hotel, 1, Plac Zawiszy. The Conference is organised in cooperation with the Polish Insurance Association and the Insurance Guarantee Fund.

The Polish Insurance Association, in cooperation with the Civil Law Department, Faculty of Law and Administration of the Warsaw University, is organising a seminar devoted to the European Insurance Contract draft and its impact on national legislations.

Another edition of the training seminar entitled “Cooperation between the Police, the insurance companies and other insurance market institutions in the scope of counteracting, exposing and combating insurance crime” was held on 19 and 20 September 2013 in the Police Academy in Szczytno.
