The Polish Insurance Association organised a conference entitled “The strength of insurance mutuality – the social, economic and legal aspects”, which took place on 19 October 2016 in the Mercure Hotel in the Centre of Warsaw, at ul. Złota 48/54.

The conference was in response to the social demand for competitiveness of economy and effectiveness of enterprises. Its aim was to disseminate mutual insurance knowledge by demonstrating the strengths of insurance mutuality in economic and social parameters. Participants became acquainted with both the theoretical and practical aspects of insurance mutuality.

The conference was also an occasion to assess the conditions and possibilities for the operation of mutual insurance companies in Poland in the light of EU regulations, which have been in force since 2016 and other Europeanmember states’ experiences.
