On 7th May 2026, the General Assembly of the Polish Chamber of Insurance elected Adam Uszpolewicz as President of the Management Board of the Polish Chamber of Insurance.

My ambition is to create a space for cooperation in which knowledge and innovation translate into the real development of the market,” said Adam Uszpolewicz, President of the Management Board of PIU.
Adam Uszpolewicz has 30 years of experience in the financial services sector, including more than 20 years as CEO of insurance companies in Poland and abroad. Between 2007 and 2022, he headed the British insurance and investment group Aviva in Poland. Prior to that, he was associated with the American Nationwide group, where he served as CEO of insurance companies in Poland and Luxembourg. He also worked as Development Director at General Electric Capital in London, as well as an auditor and consultant at Price Waterhouse in Warsaw and London.
He has served on numerous supervisory boards of insurance and investment companies across Poland, Luxembourg, France, Turkey and Lithuania. Between 2024 and 2026, he chaired the Audit Committee of the Supervisory Board of PZU SA. He currently serves on the Supervisory Board of Orange Polska and also chairs the Supervisory Board of the WWF Poland Foundation. He graduated from the University of Copenhagen and holds an ACCA qualification.
In accordance with the PIU Statute, the candidate selection process for the position of President of the PIU Management Board was carried out by the PIU Scrutiny Committee. The Committee’s recommendation was approved today by the PIU General Assembly. Piotr Wrzesiński remains to serve as Vice-President of the PIU Management Board.
