Summary of the 11th Congress of the Polish Chamber of Insurance (PIU), Sopot, May 22-23
“Twenty years in the European Union – is this a golden age for Poland?”

The 20th anniversary of Poland’s accession to the European Union served as the core theme of the 11th Congress of the Polish Chamber of Insurance (PIU). Invited guests – experts in insurance and related fields – gathered for a series of panels, debates, and presentations to evaluate whether and how our expectations have been met.
Participants discussed the actual benefits gained from joining the EU, Poland’s prospects for the coming years, and areas that still require improvement. A key highlight of the event was the signing of the Code of Good Practice for Credit Protection Insurance (CPI). The agreement was signed by the Polish Bank Association and the Polish Chamber of Insurance (PIU) in the presence of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF).
